FreedomWorks sponsored a Rally and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) drive for conservative Republican US Senate candidate Richard Mourdock on Saturday at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Indianapolis.
Fox News contributor and well-known blogger Michelle Malkin headlined the event. Due to campaign finance rules, Mourdock himself could not participate, though he was said to be present as a spectator. The current Indiana State Treasurer is leading in the polls over 36-year incumbent Dick Lugar.

FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe addressed the crowd, as well.
After the event, the Tea Party crowd left the venue spotless as they always do. The crowd adjourned to areas around Indianapolis to knock on doors, plant campaign signs, and make calls to urge Hoosiers to vote for Mourdock on Tuesday, May 8.
To celebrate the day, volunteers met back at event headquarters for pizza and refreshments.

If the enthusiasm of the volunteers is any indication, Richard Mourdock has a good chance to unseat Dick Lugar and secure the Republican nomination for US Senate from Indiana.
