Update: due to scheduling, security, and other concerns, the Fairview Heights and Vandalia events have been cancelled, and the time for the Effingham event has been moved up.

Rick Santorum will continue his momentum from his victories in the Alabama and Mississippi primaries with a campaign swing through Illinois, starting March 17 in Effingham, an event in Mt Vernon and ending the night in Herrin.

March 17 is also the Missouri Caucus, in which Santorum said he hopes to do “even better” than his primary victory February 7.

Fairview Heights

Effingham

(Parking is TBA, so follow signs at the event site.)

Volunteers needed! If you would like to volunteer to wave signs or help with traffic, setup and teardown, contact Loren Heal at 217-649-2746.

The event will go from 1:30 to 3:30, with Santorum arriving at 2pm (subject to flight delay).
We will begin with the National Anthem and pledge, followed by local Party chairmen, all backed up by upbeat patriotic music.

After Rick speaks, we will have informal press and supporter availability, subject to time constraints.

CSPAN will be in Effingham, covering at least his speech, so set those DVRs.

This is the final stop for the tour.

We will find out the final results for the Missouri caucuses,  at which Rick hopes to follow his major victory in the primary in February with an even more decisive delegate win. Come celebrate the victory in Herrin.
